      Re: Skoreit.com

I won a wine bottle opener for a few bucks off of 59.99. I would never pay that much for it but the thing is amazing. I also won Halo 3 for just under 4 dollars. The trick is to get into these sites with the intention of buying the actual item. You shouldn't go in there and say, "Oh cool, an Ipad..."

There are some users that do this as a hobby because they can afford it. The buy and sell, making a profit from their winnings. A lot of people are getting burnt because they are wasting money on bids and keep losing. Then they cry foul, claiming these sites have "bots" that bid on behalf of the site just to see the item go up. It's not safe if you go in expecting an easy win on something you don't really need.

Edit: Another thing to look out for is who is bidding. Some people have created usernames to intimidate. "IBidtoWin" "NeverStopBidding" etc. All these people are trying to bully the bidding process and probably succeed. I'd stay away from auctions with bidders using names like, "IBidtoDestroy."

I won a PS3 Slim but from quibids.com. Same premise. I got extremely lucky and won it for $8. It was $20 with shipping and bids as I only placed like 6.

                Unreal

I was juat watching a site like this one time, I wasnt even participating, and I was freakingout hoping anyone would win anything. The timers just kept restarting and restarting everytime it got down to 3 secs left. If I were involved I would have smashed my monitor!

I'm watching an Ipod auction where a small group of about 4 have been going back and forth placing several bids. So far the auction has over 700 bids. Then in comes someone who was obviously watching. His name is "Imnotstopin."

So you figure these people wasted all those bids and this guy is going to come in and bully his way to a win.

                      Re: Skoreit.com

Just won again at SkoreIt. This time, an Invicta Men's 6607 II Collection watch. Knowing very little about watches, I was ecstatic to see the retail price of nearly $400 after I won spending about $28 in bids, cost of item, and shipping (The ending price was $3.90 on the auction). I thought I could turn a nice profit by reselling on eBay or Amazon Marketplace.

Little did I know that this watch is regularly sold at 10-15% of its "retail value". So, I essentially paid my $28 for a $40-$50 watch. Ah well. A win's still a win, right?

If anyone knows of a way I could get anything remotely close to retail value for reselling this, let me know!!

I will give you $35 for it, lol. I've been looking for that exact watch. Very nice deal.
