There are plenty of wild animals roaming the woods and such around the house. I don't bother them and they never bother us. I went outside the other night, to get something out of my car, and there was a Coyote with it's front paws perched on a tree stump in the woods, but I threw a rock at it to scare it off.

Re: Completely random question about foxes

I tried to snag a picture of him the other night. He was running around my backyard. The pic really doesnt show much but you can see he isnt very big. I tried to go out right after I took the pic, it really took off after I opened my door. Id say no chance I ever encounter it.

You are worried about feeding a fox when you have alien spacecrafts flying around your neighborhood?I tried to snag a picture of him the other night. He was running around my backyard. Re: Completely random question about foxes

We have some foxes in my neighborhood. My neighbor has a bunch of animals, cats & dogs that is, but she was telling me about a friend she has on the other street who actually feeds them and they live under her shed.

Which I don't think is good. Like mentioned here, it could become dependent, and 2) there's kids and dogs and cats in the neighborhood too. My brother's cat practically lives outside so I don't worry about him, but I let my cat out once in a blue moon and it scares me. She's small and usually hangs around the house, but still.

Usually see or hear them at night, but yesterday, in plain daylight, one was just walking through the neighborhood. Like not through wooded area, right along the sidewalks, streets, yards. They're cute little guys but it's still wild, gotta keep a bit of distance. With the snow, you can really see their tracks too, very cool

Their call is so scary, though. It had me shaking for a while until I figured out that it was just the fox. Sounds like some demon howl or something.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers

Re: Completely random question about foxes

Foxes do make weird sounds more like a shriek or squeel than a coyote or wolf howl, but I'm it could spook you in the woods if you didn't know what was making the sound.- LETS GO RED SOX!!!

Re: Completely random question about foxes

yeah, when I first moved into my house we heard the foxes outside, the only thing I could imagine was making that noise was either a deer dying or giving birth. I had no clue what the noise was or even that there were foxes living in my yard. After a while though I knew it had to be something cause I heard it frequently. Very creepy noise man. Apparently after they feed, they run around making that god awful sound.Comment
