Need help on a research paper...

This probably doesn't belong here or belong on this forum at all, but I really am having trouble on choosing a topic that is at least somewhat appealing to write a 10 page paper on. It's a argumentative type of paper in which I have to be able to support my argument on my view of the topic. Anyone mind listing some things? I would prefer writing about an issue in a sport, but again, I can't think of anything.

Get a copy of the new CBA that they are arguing over in the NFL and argue both sides of it. Or just break it down into individual topics, like maybe argue the pro's and con's of expanding the season to 18 games or maybe the rookie salary cap.

Agreed, which you could easily branch off and talk about the restrictions placed on scholarship athletes. Especially the idea that they get in trouble for selling things that belong to them.

I think I wrote a 7 page economic paper on the age old - "Are athletes paid too much?" - topic. I'm sure you could stretch that out to 10 pages since my paper was pretty bare-bones and didn't even get into things like rookie salaries/caps, whether or not contracts were guaranateed or any of that.

Still got an A or A- on that, but I think it's because the teacher liked me.

I wrote a 6 page paper on "Should Major League Baseball have a salary cap?" for my sports management class. Easily could have went to 10-12 pages but the limit was 7.

Does anyone have any suggestions on books or articles to use as sources? I'm limited up to only 2 website source and the rest I have to actually get from a book. I know I'll be using the Reggie Bush controversy.
