Who hates their job?
First off, I'm very thankful to have a job right now as I know many don't, but having said that, who really can't stand the job they're at right now?

Yup, I hate my current part-time job. But, at the end of March, back to baseball and loving my job. Hopefully this is the last time I have a part-time job.Twitter

Re: Who hates their job?
I don't hate my job per se, I just hate management and corporate because they're a bunch of money-hungry, back-stabbing, "whats in it for ME" jerks.

Re: Who hates their job?
Well said.
I like 95% of the people I work with/for and I don't mind my job.
The other 5% includes the General Manager and one douche bag ASM.
I actually like my District Manager and Regional VP more than I like my General Manager. She's from Florida at a store that made three or four times the money that ours makes, so she's completely out of touch with how we were doing things before she got here.
I'm open to change, but not from a woman who knows very little about the products we sell and is so out of touch with the type of customers we are catering to. She doesn't want to take responsibility for anything and she spends well over 90% of her time in the office, speaking on the phone and typing on her laptop. The previous GM, spent at least half of his time on the floor with us and was very knowledgeable about the products we sell.
She's uptight, un reasonable, and worst of all... ignorant about almost everything. If you have an issue, you can't even take it to her.. she won't take responsibility as a manager at all.. it's ridiculous. It's micromanagement at it's worst.
When she's off work.. everything goes great and we are able to do our jobs to the best of our ability, but when she comes.. we're limited as to what we can do and we're forced to put time into tasks that don't really help improve the store or our customer service.

Re: Who hates their job?
I hated my old job.......hated it so much, I saved enough money in 1 year and left. I won't stand for BS. It was a lot people thought I was kidding, that I was just blowing smoke.
Oh I wish I was there to see the look on their faces when I bounced up out of there. It wasn't so much the co-workers, it was the politics of management. People who were so far removed from regular folk, that they were completely out of touch.
Everybody was just a number to them, they didn't care about their employees at all. And they had that one size fits all mentality. What works in New York not going to work in Indiana and vice versa.
Management never understood that. Different demographics, culture, customer mindset. But yet they wondered why none of their ideas worked. And instead of promoting those who were deserving, instead they promoted their neighbor's kids to high positions of management who never worked a day in their life.
So I bounced. You will be amazed how much money you can save in 1 year when you want to get the hell up out of a place really bad.Comment

This guy does:

As a future programmer, I'm sure I'll hate my first 5 - 10 years of entry level working and being a donkey boy for some head-honchos. But eventually I'll find my niche and hope to hit management level if I'm creative enough in what I do. Down the road, it shouldn't be so bad and I'll hope to score some big paychecks.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: Who hates their job?
I hate my job. Overworked and under pay. The one benefit was that I used to have an awesome boss, not anymore. Now I have the standard a-hole of a boss that many of my friends complain about. Luckily this is just a temporary job to pay the bills at the moment.Comment

Re: Who hates their job?
I went from the best job ever as basically an Ops Manager to laid off. The seven months later I finally find a job as a Maint. guy at my apartment complex only for the manager to get me fired to cover her butt (she has alzheimers). I fired on mine and my wifes 3 year anniversary and a week before we were to have our child born. I told them the day before I got fired that in 8 days I would use a weeks vacation for paternity leave.
Now I'm a stay at home dad until I can find something. I love being home with my daughter, but I HATED that Maint. job. I was given so much to do in a day there was NO WAY I could get it all done in 8 hrs. OT wasn't allowed either. I got canned for not getting all my assigned work done.
I know the title implied current job, but that job was so bad I had to share.Comment

Ah, so you're going to be a programmer! Excellent choice. I haven't yet found the big paychecks, but I'm sure that's based on the area I live in. I've been told that 60k is my glass ceiling for salary, which is quite fine for me.As a future programmer, I'm sure I'll hate my first 5 - 10 years of entry level working and being a donkey boy for some head-honchos. I hate to dissent, but I love my job. I get to solve problems on a daily basis. It's AWESOME. My group is pretty great, and even though I hate the tester in our department, and our management kind of sucks, I love coming in to work on a daily basis.Rose City 'Til I Die
