Introducing dogs into a single cat house advice

I figure some people here have integrated animals together and thought I'd see if you had any advice.

My girlfriend moved in with me yesterday with her 2 poodles, while I have a cat. All are adults. They're doing ok so far, mostly the cat hides (which is normal). I got a baby gate today to keep the dogs separated so the cat has a safe place.

I figure it'll just take time (a couple weeks, month, etc) before they're all able to coexist, but always looking for advice/tips to make it an easier process.

I'm making sure to have dedicated attention time for my cat since she's hiding more and not getting the normal petting due to the dogs being around, but wasn't sure if there were some other things I should do as well.

Buy a siberian tiger. That will put the dogs in check real quick.

Plus, they are beautiful. Win, win.

as long as the puddles don't bark much the cat will be cool , but if they are barkers then it aint happening .someone gonna lose an eye.

Yeah, they bark a bit but aren't horrible...and they usually listen when you tell them to be quiet.

I'm hoping my cat grows a pair and beats them up a bit lol

It was a lot better last night...my cat isn't really that freaked out, she's out and looking at the dogs, and just moves away if they run at her...After a week or two they'll be fine I think.

Give the cat a few weeks and I'll bet she's smacking those poodles around.

Ya one of my cats will Manny Pacquiao the new puppy I have without any hesitation, never seen paws move that fast

It was funny, when my sister brought home her cat (then 3 weeks old) we had 2 labs and the kitten was totally cool with them. In fact, when he got older (and eviler), he would always attack the dogs. After my sister moved out and took the black lab but left the cat (she was afraid he would attack her new baby) my mom got a Newf and the cat was scared of him right from the start despite the puppy barely being bigger than it at thet time.

Yeah, she's still cautious, but after a few days she's not really scared or anything, I'm sure she'll beat the hell out of them eventually. She just has to learn that when they run at her she can whack them and they'll leave her alone lol
