You'd actually be quite shocked at how small a space you can fit through.
When we go for training .....one of the drills involves going through an opening in a wall...the size of what is the space between the legs of your standard wooden school chair(square....not just side to side...but floor to the bottom of the seat....I only know it's this size...because at the academy...you actually go through that space in the chair...they just want to show you it can be done to get out of a jam...kicking a small opening in a wall to get to another room if need be)..in full gear WITH your mask(what civilians would think of as your air pack w/cylinder) on!
Even the big boys can make it through.
