Forbes' "Top 10 disliked sports figures' poll

Since there isn't a general 'sports' forum and this covers a lot of sports, I put it here. If there is a better place, feel free to move it, mods.

Their list:
1. Al Davis
2. Michael Vick
3. Jerry Jones
4. Tiger Woods
5. Manny Ramirez
6. Terrell Owens
7. Headstomper Haynesworth
8. Mark McGwire
9. Bob Knight
10. Randy Moss


I definitely don’t agree with a lot of this. Davis #1 surprises me, especially since at this point he’s such a joke. Vick, Jerry, and Tiger I can see.


Manny #5? Is he even that relevant anymore to be hated? ESPN’s creation at #6 doesn’t surprise me, I’m glad to see Haynesworth there, he deserves it.


McGwire must be angry old people, but I’m shocked he’d be there and not Bonds, considering Bonds “tarnished” the record and was overall a bigger douchebag. Bob Knight still being there shocks me too, since he hasn’t coached in a long while.


I’m surprised no NBA guys (LeBron, Kobe?) are on the list.

Lebron should be up there.

As far as Tebow, I didn't like him while he was at UF for obvious reasons but, I don't have anything against him anymore. I actually kind of like him now. I'm rooting for him to succeed just to prove all the haters wrong.

Huh? In a list (pretty recent I recall) had Lebron and Kobe at #4 and #5 and Tiger Woods at #2 with Vick as #1.

Lebron is definitely a lot more disliked right now than just about anyone on that list other than Tiger, and maybe Vick and Jerry Jones.

What about Barry Bonds, A-Rod, and Roger Clemens? All of those are more hated than Mark McGwire.

Agreed, even though I'm glad Bonds isn't on the list anyway haha. I don't know why McGwire is on that list. Even Palmeiro is "more hated," and I don't see any reason for him to be on that list either.

Same here. Plus I say substitute Mike Vick at 2 with Lebron. I like Vick he paid for his crime and seems to be a better person. I respect the man.

Vick will always be up there for me but, I'm a Pit Bull owner so, I'm a bit bias.

Yeah that's not the greatest list i've seen of this type. Perhaps it was done with business types and that's why it's so different to what we expect.

Anyways, It's amazing to see Al Davis up there. The man has been hated in one form or another since the '60s!
