    Marketing majors or gurus?

Well, i'm in principles of marketing and I have a cool, but not so easy professor. My test is coming up and he's actually quite difficult to contact. So i'm here wondering if anyone can break down a generic market for me? I'm having the hardest time grasping that whole idea.

I've googled, but the examples are pretty crap, almost as crap as the ones in the book. Thanks.

Self proclaimed guru here, and never have I EVER heard this term brought up. Real marketing is DOING, not text book crap. You'd probably do better self teaching yourself by reading best selling marketing books and then taking a book on goal setting to force yourself to get out there.

Not much help, I know, but what the heck. I guess your teacher needs a job so someone has to attend the class.
