I'm now on the I hate the USPS bandwagon

    I need to rant somewhere.

Long story short I sent something out to ship today. I then realized I made a mistake and didn't need to ship it back(I thought my order was wrong on something), even though it hadn't moved from the bin they put it in, they couldn't even give me a credit for a future shipment. I know the USPS is struggling, but it's pretty ****ty that they just screw people over honest mistakes.

If it's a big business it costs a lot to give credits out. They have to issue you a gift card, which I don't think the usps does, plus then they have to record that prepayment for your credit somewhere and a bunch of other things. It's not like a mom and pop store where they can just write you something on a card and it's good enough for a credit the next time you come in. Sucks for you that you lost money on this, but I don't disagree with them on not giving out a credit.

I understand that, but if I needed to they wouldn't even let me take it back tomorrow and ship it. I would have had to buy more postage.

I used to love them. I dont think it's over priced like most people think, the fact I could have sent 2lbs worth of posters to Cali and it arrive Saturday for $7 is pretty good. I don't think fed ex or ups would have screwed me over.

That sucks man. This was more the bank than the post office, but one time I sent a bill and it apparently got lost in the mail somewhere so I had to call the bank and have the check cancelled. I get charged a $34 check cancellation fee because the post office screwed up. That isn't right.
