Re: What to do in Vegas
True that, so make sure you bring a good camera and I mean an actual camera, no cell phone cameras....LOL.
I remember my friend did that in November, took all his pictures with an Iphone......And like any cell phone camera, they don't take good pics in low light, so more then half of his pics were jacked up that he took during the evening and night time.Comment

Re: What to do in Vegas
I just got back from going the third time and as a college kid with a budget, I liked hanging out at the cheaper casinos like Bills Gambling Hall, O'Shea's, and Casino Royale for the low gambling limits and the cheap drinks.
Be sure you have comfortable shoes because you will likely be walking ALOT. Be sure to check out the Bellagio fountains. Also, try to walk through my two favorite hotels/casinos. Cesaer's Palace and the Venetian.
Most of all, do what you want to do and have fun. Just because you are in Vegas doesnt mean you HAVE to gamble ten hours a day if it is not really what you want to do.Comment

I don't think he wants to make a ****ty movie on his first trip to Vegas.
....where are you gonna stay? There is plenty to do. If you guys are into shows, I'm sure there is a whole helluva lot going on. I'm not into shows that much so I can't help specifically on that front.Comment

Re: What to do in Vegas
We just got in to our hotel and we are staying at Paris. We are going to be here until Monday. I know we have one show that we already have tickets for. We are also talking about seeing the Jabawockeez (sp?). After that we have plenty of free time . We are here with my wife's siblings and their spouses. We have our digital camer and we brought our kodak playsport camcorder.Comment

Re: What to do in Vegas
So it's a bunch of adults....man...you guys can have a blast. Lots of clubs if you guys are interested in that stuff. Maybe the ladies like dancing? I'm not exactly a club person, but from what I gather from friends...."XS" which is at Encore is the "hottest club" now. I went there once, it was nice.
Since you're at Paris, you have direct access to my favorite restaurant in Vegas---Mon Ami Gabi. That place rocks. Awesome skirt steaks. Service is a little spotty but the food rocks in my opinion. http://www.monamigabi.com/vegas
If you guys like buffets, Bellagio's is probably the cleanest and nicest. I like Mandalay Bay's also.
I would ask the concierge and see if any bands/comedians/etc are in town over the weekend. Might luck out and find out someone worth seeing is there.
If you enjoy playing Texas Hold'Em, there are a few poker rooms worth noting. Venetian is huge, and tends to attract people I don't care about that much. I enjoy Wynn's poker room a lot. Nice and compact, clean and new, and away from the rest of the casino so you have peace and quiet. I've also heard about Bellagio's, but I haven't gotten the chance to play there.
If you go to Wynn, they have a crazy Ferrari showroom to check out.
There are the shops around Paris/Planet Hollywood (at least I THINK that mall still exists), as well as the Forum Shops at Ceasar's if you guys are interested in shopping.
Honestly, the best thing I can say is just walk around. There is ALWAYS something interesting happening in Vegas. You guys will find stuff to do, trust me.Comment

I stayed in Paris my last trip, out of my trips it was actually the worst hotel I was in. Wasn't awful overall, just not up to par with the rest of the hotels I've been in.
Enjoy!Comment

Re: What to do in Vegas
As other people have mentioned, make sure you bring comfortable shoes. Last year my fiancé did not bring any sneakers with her and we had to stop at the Reebok store the first day we were there because her feet were killing her.
If you get the chance, watch the fountains at the Bellagio at night. It is a very cool show.Comment

Re: What to do in Vegas
What not to do in Vegas is the question. Usually my trip consist of betting on sports, drinking a lot, paigow/21/craps/, talking to chicks, club if I don't pick up a chick then strip club. That's night 1.
Oh yeah I eat like a king while I'm there too. World Buffet FTW!
If you want to check out the a sports bar, look up Emerald Lagassi's sports bar in the Palazo. I think that's were it is but man, great food and also nice facility.
I go every year when Paquiao fights in Vegas, if I don't see the fight in person I'll do a close circuit which is also awesome.Comment
