Only $3.72 here. Spent over $40 to fill up my car for the first time. Not a fun feeling. lol

I saw on the news that at least one analyst believes that this'll be the peak or close to the peak of gas for now as people will decide to drive less and the demand will go down along with a few other factors. But we will see about that...3.90 in North Jersey...although the one I went to there is another just a minute walk away from the one I usually go to goes for 3.80...must be weighed down in water.

Gas here is $1.35 a litre. You guys do the conversion i'm too lazy.

3.63-3.89 depending where you go..

Why is this happening? Someone please explain it because we import a ton of oil from Canada. Like, twice as much than Mexico. Then Saudi Arabia is third..Lybia isn't even in the top 15 so why is gas rising like crazy?

Because oil is a global commodity and global supply and demand fundamentals have pushed that price up.

In short, it's basically increasing Chinese demand for oil, decreasing Saudi production, and general political and social turmoil in the Middle East, plus a few mild factors such as summer and the weak dollar.

The recession shouldn't have fooled people into believing that the 2007-08 oil price spikes were temporary; the trend was always up.

Still hovering $4.00. Thankfully I got a summer job that is 6.5 miles round trip. For 3 months I literally plan on not leaving my town, driving my truck unless it's for a long trip.
