    From Drugs to Mugs

    The New Anti-Drug Campaign.

With disturbing before and after photos of drug users’ faces, a new anti-drug campaign may succeed where others have failed, grabbing teens’ attentions by appealing to their vanity.

The pairs of mug shots, which graphically display the damage drugs can do to the face, were collected by the sheriff’s office in Multnomah County, Ore.

Faces that were normal — even attractive — in initial photos, shot when addicts were first arrested, metamorphose over years, and sometimes just months, into gaunt, pitted, even toothless wrecks.

I honestly feel like this will work 100% better than those "This is your brain on drugs" commercials.

And to make it interesting, which set of pictures makes you want to stay away from drugs?

When I was 14 I said i would never drink

When I was 15 I said I would never smoke weed

When I was 16 I said I would never smoke Cigarettes

When I was between 17-19 I said I would never touch any hard drugs

When I was 20 I said I would never Chew tobacco

Since I am 26, i think I can safely say I will never try Meth, Crack, or Heroin. My Track record has not been very good though. If I disappear from OS, just assume I got addicted to meth.

        Re: From Drugs to Mugs

I know this thread had good intentions but it opens the door to too many discussions that will just ending up violating the TOS.

I'm closing it to preemptively avoid it.
