My plan was to just start a thread and run it like March Madness. Vote on 16 matchups a day for the first 2 days, then 8 a day for the next 2, and so on until we have a champion.

Man, you guys were busy today. That's what I get for going to my nephews birthday party then coming home and watching Pitt and the Pittsburgh Power.

If there was an NCAA Tournament for uniforms, UCLA would be in my Final Four. Probably in my championship.

I love what they're wearing. Despite all the patches (4 of them). But every team has about a million patches now, so that's why I dismiss those.

So... like the 64 best uniforms in all of sports into one tournament? Sounds like fun to me.

This is how I would do it. Everyone nominates uniforms, literally just list every uniform you can think of that you like, and the 64 that are mentioned most end up in the field. And seeding will go by how often a uniform's mentioned.

Do we want to put in throwbacks that teams don't use anymore? Or just uniforms that teams wear today (homes, aways, alternates)?

Hold the phone. I have an idea. Break up the bracket by the big 3 (football, baseball, basketball) and combine soccer and hockey for the forth bracket. That way we won't argue over different types of uniforms.

Pretty sure epsn.com Page 2 has done stuff like that in the past.

Anyway, I know its late, but this is how I think it should be done. First there would have to be preliminary rounds for each individual league/sport with spots and seedings in the final tournament being based on percentage of votes in the preliminary rounds. As for doing the polls, aren't there free sites out there where you can create you own polls and stuff. You could just make the polls there and link them in the thread(s) for the contest.

Well if you guys EVER get this through I suggest you open up the tourney to the front page of OS proper. I'm sure Steve or whoever wouldn't mind something like this as a means for discussion/fun for the summer.

...and with that I await whatever develops.

There's the Seahawk neon, the MLB Turn The Clock Forward jerseys, and Philly's baby blue and gold that are worse.

Also, there are far too many boring college jerseys (for all sports) included for my tastes.
