Yea, that's a safe bet. I remember Urban Meyer was also really superstitious so that's why those helmets got trashed with a quickness after they lost. It's a shame because those helmets and the orange/blue/orange combo are gorgeous.

I'm not sure if I'm ready to say that they're the ugliest, but they do suck. The Bengals are a team that would benefit from taking things back a few years and going back to there look from the Corey Dillon days.



On the other side of things, I HATE the Texans monochrome blue look. I also can't stand how they don't use red socks. The blue pants with blue socks look awful, but the blue pants with red socks...

See, even that's ugly to me. Tiger Stripes almost never work. Everything about them, I hate, ESPECIALLY the helmet.

I like the stripes, it's a unique defining element for the Bengals uniforms, especially the helmet. Although there uniforms from the 1960's were really nice with no tiger stripes.

The Bengals helmet is cool and i hope they never change. Their jersey and pants can use a change though. I hate their old unis though. They're the Cincinnati Browns.


Though i want one of the NFL teams to be like **** it we want Oregon-like 40 alternates.

They should get rid of the tiger strips on the jerseys and pants, but they have the coolest helmets in the NFL - they shouldn't touch those.

Bengals shouldn't do a single thing to their helmets imo. They also don't need to go anywhere near that 1960s Browns look either.

Except, Paul Brown basically ported the Cleveland Browns uniforms to Cincy

I'm a big fan of the tiger stripe helmet though I can see how some don't like the tiger stripes on the unis I happen to like them though I prefer the general look from most of the '80s to the Corey Dillon Era.

If you want a compromise maybe go back to the 1981 look (minimal tiger stripes, clean overall design)
