What's the difference between a silver revo speed and a white revo speed in the same size?

Well the only consolation I have is at least the Lions throwbacks can work without decals and stripes from the current helmet. But the other teams?

The difference is (the only one that I can figure) is that the helmet they use weekly, because I assume they wear the same one continuously for a period, is safer than one they wear only once a year, maybe twice. I can't figure out any other explanation. There must be something because that article doesn't reveal it all.

I can't imagine it's that hard to repaint their current helmets and get different decals if they want to do throwbacks, so I'm not sure much changes.

The teams should stick it to the man and throw retro decals on their current helmets. I'd love to see the reaction of fans when Tampa Bay comes out in pewter helmets with the orange decals and stripes.

But I mean if you have two helmets that are the same style and size, you can easily adjust the helmet pads in mere seconds. Literally no other organization, high school or college, has that problem. I seriously doubt a player on an NFL team and those many equipment managers/trainers is walking on the field with a helmet that doesn't fit in a way they find comfortable.

I'll just say this. As someone who worked in the sciences, if there is actually confounded research that shows it is safer, it's worth it to try. I think player's well being is more important than some silly uniforms at the end of the day. I want to hear more of course, but seems a little short sighted to just throw it out the window. It's not like the NFL just decided this; it was researched by someone.

Green Bay's are going to look weird.

They're still wearing their alternates, the blue things with the circles, but they're wearing their usual helmets sans stickers with them.

The Vikings, meanwhile, might set a record for badassery. They're going to wear their throwbacks as well, but they'll be using their matte helmets with new stickers and a gray facemask.
