I didn't like them after they went to the techfit crap.
Cabke, I'm not the biggest fan of the blue because the helmet doesn't fit all that well to me. The current reds have the stupid stripes to ruin them and the black ones look like a Texas Tech knockoff.Originally posted by BlueNGoldComment

The red helmets look too much like that CFL team and we had blue helmets at one point but they looked terrible and the blue was off.MLB: Texas Rangers

The sleeves on the older blue jersey is just too busy and doesn't look right. I adore the throwback.

Yeah, first thing I thought of when I saw the red helmet was the Calgary Stampeders. SMU had a classic uniform set in the past so I don't know why they insist on messing with it. Maybe because the old classic look was associated with the 80s scandal and death penalty and they want to distance themselves from that as much as possible without actually completely abandoning it.Steelers : IX, X, XIII, XIV, XL, XLIII
