I'm pretty sure that with yellow/blue colorblindness, yellow usually appears much lighter, and different, than blue, especially in the NBA where the Grizzlies are really the only team that have a light blue jersey (alternate at that), while red and green, especially the shades Buffalo and NY were wearing, are much closer.

Yellow also acts differently in colorblindness which is why you don't get the same effect as in red/green...
