Working on my Jags concept. Starting to look... odd to me, I guess. We'll see what happens. I'm almost done with the number/nameplate stuff, and then I'll have to do some striping. Hopefully you guys like it.

I'm divided on the racing stripe idea on baseball tops. As of right now, I don't think I like it.

racing stripes were pretty common, some teams pulled it off well and others didn't. The Mets for a certain generation are iconic in their racing stripe era uniforms because of the '86 World Series. The Indians looked ok in their racing stripes as well (Think Major League)

I really like those Expos uniforms because while it incorporated the powder blue craze (actually, powder blue was in the original uniform set way back in '69 so they're pioneers in the 2nd gen. powder blue craze) the uniform was really well crafted. It also had the effect of slimming down bigger players so they don't look so out of shape either.

I think it was one of the better uniforms of that era, very streamlined and subdued compared to other unis of the time period.

Well, after putting off real work for two hours, I have finished (I think) my Jaguars concept. I will be sending this to UniWatch as well. I wanted to go back to the style of the pre-modernized uniforms. I also wanted to de-emphasize black, as the Jaguars have done recently with the terrible black pants.

I did change a few things. The Jaguar logo on the sleeves used to be the full Jaguar... I think it's better with just the Jaguar and the claw. I don't recall the Jaguars ever having striped socks like this, and I reeeeally like the way they came out. I'm not sure if I like the golden pants, but it's something I've always wanted to see. White pants with that set would the stripe that mirrors the sock stripe. I'm not sold on the pant stripe for the gold pair. Also, instead of the sleeve endings being gold then black, I just moved to the black. No need for another color there, I think.

I like it, the gold pants gives it a bit of a UCLA feel to the uniform which is a plus in my book!

Interesting, I hadn't thought of that. Granted, it's a happy surprise that might make MJD and Marcedes feel a little bit more at home, heh.

I love the jersey. I think the swipe logo works so well on the sleeves.

The pants, though... I don't know. I realize white's boring, but I think it'd look better with white pants. And I know you hate the black pants they have now, but I'm always a fan when the helmet matches the pants.

I love the sock striping, though. I wish teams would go back to striped socks.

The gold was really more of a curiosity I've always had. I figured, why not kill a few birds with the same stone. Black pants would not be around in my version of the Jaguars, just white (and these gold ones perhaps)... because, these were the best Jaguars unis of all time:

I hated how they pulled almost all gold directly out of the uniform. That was the most disappointing thing to me. I do like the teal top on the white pants, but other than that, a very disappointing set.

Also, on the aways, the numbers have got to be teal, not black.

I could complain for days, as you can see.
