It's certainly not as bad as some of the "Pro Combat" unis that Nike's put out there.

In fact, I think if you have white pants on that outfit, dare I say it actually looks pretty decent.

With you on the shoes, but I don't mind the gold trim and numbers. It looks decent with the rest of the uni, and it ties into the "Golden Egg" game. I do think that there shouldn't be additions to a team's color palette, but gold makes sense to me in this case.

-I HATE this trend of replacing player names on the back with inspiring phrases. So stupid.

I think it's subtle enough to work. I'd prefer some kind of light gold if they're going to do it, but I think it's not terrible.

I mean, look at this, and then look at Miss State's. Which one is worse? (You know my opinion already)



I'd certainly like to see it on a player (or even mannequin).

I agree with GIGGAS, give it white pants and it's decent. I also don't see the NASCAR comparisson you gave it on twitter. There aren't a million different corporate sponsors plastered all over it.

I was bored. So I did this. I'd do white pants, but I didn't want to completely ditch their theme. If I was doing that, I'd have given strong consideration to a gold helmet with gold pants.

Also, I debated which way to go on the facemask, decided to just go both and see which one you guys liked better.

Gold pants might work too (though not with gold shoes). I'm just not a fan of the monochrome look which is probably also why I don't mind the piping since it adds a little more color.

The actual unis would be better with white pants. No gold, too Florida Statelike. Why the hell is the trim gray? If they are going to have the trim on there it should probably be gold, however, I hate how adidas does trim anyway so its a moot point. The numbers don't bother me really. I do still hate the way Adidas cuts their unis. It ruins the ability to differentiate the side and top should logos and numbers.

Why the hell is the trim gray?

Miss State has gray in their palette.

At times a shade of gray has been added to the scheme, such as for the numerals. Briefly in the 1980s the men's and women's basketball teams wore all-gray uniforms with maroon and white trim, while football has at times sported silver game pants, and baseball will often wear all-gray road outfits.

It's not a bad uniform by any means. Going full maroon is a bit much though so give it white pants and black or white cleats and it'd be decent. I dunno about the gradient numbers but if it's subtle it can work well.

It's a helluva lot better than most of the Nike Pro Combats.
