I would seriously buy that helmet they will wear just for a keepsake. Looks awesome. The rest reminds me of hunter's gear somewhat. They should find a way to have Barry Sanders' and Thurman Thomas' faces show up in the camo pattern. (Totally not serious)

Probably because the packets contains information about the university, traditions, motivations for the design, etc. Also there's this, some players wore stars like you would find on badges in the Fiesta Bowl:

So I'm going to make an educated guess and say it shows seniority or is a captain badge.

Tracer is a unisnob as well as Okie Lite fan, so maybe he can shed some light on this. Or maybe Pokes or OSUG.

Sunday will be final game Jaguars will wear Teal as the primary jersey. After this Sunday club will wear black as primary jersey.

Teal will be reserved for special occasions as alternate jersey. Teal will continue to be a part of uniform and logo.

MEH. It's not like their uniforms are storied classics or anything. Black has really always been apart of their scheme, and as long as they mix in white pants I don't have an issue with it

Teal has been their identity for their entire history. I've always liked the black alternates, but as alternates, not the primary jersey.
