Re: OS Uni Snob Thread
I've actually talked to Chuck Morgan (VP of Ballpark Entertainment, Amazing Person), and he says the reason why they have gone with "Texas" on the home jerseys is because they want to market to the whole state. That's why they replaced all of the league flags with Texas flags and why they promote the red, white, and blue. Meh...Rangers - Cowboys - Aggies - Stars - Mavericks

Re: OS Uni Snob Thread
They wear them at home but they're away uniforms "gets all snobby". Two clues
1. It's off white which back in that era was an acceptable substitute for grey
2. The "St. Louis" script is for road games. You don't see a home team wearing the city name on their jerseys.
Either way, there needs to be another set so they can wear that template all the time.
The "St. Louis" script was present on both the home and road uniforms in 1931. This is the first time "St. Louis" has appeared on a Cardinal uniform in 80 years.Comment

Re: OS Uni Snob Thread
All home whites that have 0 nicknames on them. If you want to be nit picky, the Nationals uniform has it in the logo on the sleeve, but I'm sure that's not what you are referring to.Comment

Re: OS Uni Snob Thread
I think you're being extra picky with the Nats, Tigers and Yankees not having their nicknames on the home jerseys because those are their logos. You can't help if the logo doesn't say the team name on it.
The Old English D for the Tigers and the interlocking NY for the Yankees are basically their identities so it would be a little silly to put "Tigers" or "Yankees" on their home uniforms. Anybody can tell you the names of those two teams based on the logos alone.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

I usually like things that try to copy the old Astros uniforms from the '70s-mid '80s but um yeah.....That's not good.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

And my post was based on the fact he claimed Texas was the only Major League club that did not have the nickname on their home whites. NY, D, and W are not nicknames so what I posted is still true. Doesn't matter whether you need the name or not; fact is it is not on there.Comment

Re: OS Uni Snob Thread
However, in the case of the Nationals, this would've been infinitely better than what they have now:
