- Regarding the NFL, do owners REALLY want to open the door to being like the NCAA? Actually, it might foster some creativity but I can see some real ugly uniforms and helmets. Personally to me, i'd be happy with home, away, alternate, throwback. In regards to the throwback maybe come up with 3-4 of em and let the fans vote for which throwback to wear over a 3 year period.

- New Orleans Pelicans uniform, very generic and kinda reminds me of the Pacers a little though the number/font is VERY nice.

I actually think that throwbacks are way overdone in the NFL. I like alternates, but I don't like when they mess with the helmets.

Hopefully the Pelicans go with a gold alternate...wayyyyyyyy too many red jerseys already in the NBA.

As for the NFL, I'll cry if they start doing the multiple helmet BS that the NCAA is doing. You do not need more than one helmet, and it does not need to be chrome or contain an oversized logo. Stop it.

Even by our standards, this is something that's pretty stupid to get up in arms about. I just don't understand it.

Oregon, for example, had an incredibly awesome helmet:



Before they destroyed it and went with the chrome monstrosities. Baylor's new uniforms, for example, would look awesome if they just used their traditional gold helmet, but they had to ruin it with a white helmet and another ridiculous chrome thing.

Use your school colors and have one helmet with a normal sized logo on each side that matches your whole uniform set. I don't get why schools think that is so hard.

Edit: like if it was where you wanted the main helmet for brand identity and use of an alternate once or twice a year I'd understand, but limiting to just one helmet? Why?

1. Bruins do you really have to go around every thread and like any post that disagrees with my opinion or takes a shot at me?

2. The multiple helmet fiasco is made worse because most schools have used it to create the chrome monstrosities. It's just excessive and unnecessary to me. Baylor's gold helmet is awesome, so why mess with a good thing and add different helmets? Oregon State's new white helmets are awesome, but the other two are garbage. Oregon's old "O" helmet, etc.

I actually don't have a problem with multiple helmets, especially in college, as long as they use the same logo. I'm not a huge fan of the current Oregon helmets. I prefer the "O" being on the the side. That's their identity. And it's relegated to the back of the helmet with these. I never minded the variations, so long as they used the same template.

I disagree, I think white helmets looks the best when they're worn with a colored jersey and white pants. I think a general rule of thumb for football uniforms should be that the helmet matches either the jersey or pants, but all 3 shouldn't match or differ. It's hard to go wrong there.

I used to be of the opinion that the storm trooper look was gimmicky but i've come around and really like it when teams go all white. It's a unique look though I certainly wouldn't want a team doing that in the middle of a blizzard

BTW I love love love the white Baylor helmets.
