 Re: OS Uni Snob Thread

To be fair, Adidas has yet to show they can even match colors with the sleeved unis.

I wouldn't go so far to say they give me a headache, but I don't like them. I don't mind players wearing sleeves in college (I would say pros, but Dwight is the first person that comes to mind and I mind him doing just about anything but that's a story for another time), but something about them feels like they should remain an accessory on a basketball uniform. Much like I'd hate it if the NFL tried to go back to Elbow length Johnny Unitas era jerseys because some players wear their under shirt to that length. Or if the MLB lengthened theirs because Jason Heyward wore an undershirt up to his wrists.

Something about it just looked odd me when all the players had it during the summer league.Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment

 Pros: Reduction of orange

Cons: Not getting rid of the front numbers, no silver, no hem stripeComment

Downgrade imo. I actually liked the orange personally, but can live without it on the numbers. I don't think the single orange stripe in the sleeve stripe is a good idea. Zero problems with them not having silver. Kinda miss the bottom stripe on the sweater.Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment

 Re: OS Uni Snob Thread

The homes are definitely a big downgrade. The aways a little less so. The homes would probably be better with a separate colored collar like the aways.

And did we not learn from the first set of new RBK jerseys post-lockout that it's usually a bad idea to not have bottom stripes?Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

The excuse they gave for getting rid of the bottom stripe (it "weighed the jersey down") was a joke. The homes are definitely a big downgrade. The aways a little less so. The homes would probably be better with a separate colored collar like the aways.

Other than Nashville it seems like every recent NHL uniform change has been a downgrade.Comment

New Towson uniforms. Interestingly enough, the gallery on the website described the white as home and dark as away. That would be cool and all, except LSU and Dallas do that, so it's not. Not sure how I feel about the black shoulder on the white.Comment
