Dang. You've waited this long? Back in the day, I got ragged on for only giving the girl 2 months notice. It wasn't even my/our prom---we were junior marshalls.

Back in the day at our small high school (1998), everybody pretty much knew who they were going to the prom with by Dec-Jan....and the thing wasn't til the end of May. And 90% of the people showed up late and only stayed for about 30 minutes.

I thought it was overrated then and still is now. I cared more about Senior Class night..... show me the (scholarship) MONEY!!!

I didn't even have much fun at prom.

I was trashed at 7:30 am and sober by the time they were taking pictures that night.. I'm not really the dancing type and I thought we should have held the prom at the school and saved money and used it for something else.. + the cost of renting a tux, llimo, eating, etc...

The best part was the after party..

I never even asked my girlfriend to go with me, we all ready knew we were going together.. lol... thats why I question having to ask her..

If she had went with someone else (no chance of that), she wouldn't of been my girlfriend anymore..

My girl told me to get a tux and a lavender vest. Yet, I still had to ask her. Anyways I went the Scrabble route, and thought it was quite clever.

This is basically my strategy, I have no desire to stay long maybe an hour or 2 to dance with my GF then off to a party or something. It's not that I don't want to enjoy the moment with my GF, it's just that my school sucks at dances so it'll be pointless and boring.

I know I'm going to ask my girlfriend to prom, but I want to do it in a creative and fun way. Do any of you guys have any good ideas/stories? I know, I know, stupid topic. But still, I need ideas.

Go out to a fancy resteruant and then get on one knee and and ask her to go to prom with you. I hope you have thought this through and she is the one you want to go to prom with.

Go old school. On a piece of notebook paper write, "Do you want to go to the prom with me?" Have a box for her to check yes and one for no.

Done.

The key is making sure you pass the note in class without getting caught. While the teacher is focused on presenting the lecture is the best time.
