LOL what the hell. So the article made it sound like the "patient" took the medications even though he knew they were expired. And going to see a Doctor you found in a newspaper ad in a suspect building is always a great idea.

And the doctor link is not that far fetched. The "patient" was dumb for getting stuck with toothpicks in the first place and taking expired pills. Honestly, he had to be thinking about that when it was happening.
