    Things to do in Boston

Got a weekend getaway with the better half planned for this weekend. We're hitting the Red Sox game Saturday afternoon at 1, and after the games over, we don't have to be on the train back to Maine until like 11:30, leaving us most of the night to hit the town. We wanted to go to Cheers, but i've heard mixed reviews. Plus, I know if we hit Quincy Market (yeah, I know, it's only the replica Cheers), she'll spend all night shopping.

Just wondering if you guys know of any good bars relatively close to the Fenway station. I don't want to have to ride all the way to the end of a line, just to have to get back to the train later that night.

Any other suggestions on things to do are appreciated. I wanted to go to Thor at the IMAX at 7, but she doesn't want to drop 17.50 a ticket

Eat at Eagles Deli & Restaurant. Saw it on Man vs Food and went there...one of the greatest burgers I've ever had. Also go to J.P. Licks and get Brownie Batter Ice Cream and/or Oreo Cookie Batter and I put on some fudge and cookie dough on that stuff...and I also put on 10-20 pounds. There are also these Duck tours which are kind of fun if you want to be a tourist. Can't think of many things to do because it has been awhile since I went there for a real vacation..

Newbury St is fun but then again you said you don't want to watch your gf shop. So you might way to avoid that st. all together.
