Yea I know, but if you are concerned about offending Islamic people why not give him in a proper burial. And like I said he is said to have killed just as many muslims across seas as Americans on our soil. So many Islamic people hate him just as much no?? I'm sure they would not care

Of course there is relief that an evil mastermind cannot commit acts of terror in the future. But is it ever a good idea — from a spiritual or philosophical standpoint — to celebrate with beer and good cheer over the death of anyone, even a widely acknowledged monster?

It's an interesting read that I would suggest everyone read. I'd like to see other opinions on this article.

I am glad that those effected by 9/11, those who have/are serving in the armed forces and those who have lost loves ones that served in the armed forces have a sense of closure, though.

This is my first and last post in this thread. I've been feeling the same way. Not only do I feel uneasy about people actually celebrating, I feel even more uneasy when some people who aren't are being questioned and called out for it.

It's an interesting read, yes.

Do I agree with the whole article? No.

I wasn't one of the thousands that were drinking and dancing in the streets. My thoughts immediately went to the victims, their families and the soliders that fought for our country trying to hunt this person down.

I"m certainly not going to tell anyone how,who, when, where and why they can celebrate. None of us knows why most of these people were celebrating. Is it because of the death of a man that killed 3000 innocent lives or because there is finally some closure for the families of the victims of fireman, police officers, rescue workers and military.

I think most of us get it, are we responsible for how the .5% of the rest of the population reacts? I don't think so.
