      Interesting, but what the heck is the Houston vs. Houston line? And how can it have 1 matchup in hockey whe Houston has never had a hockey team?

      Penguins : 1990/91, 1991/92, 2008/09, 20015/16, 2016/17
      Pirates : 1909, 1925, 1960, 1971, 1979
      Panthers (FB): 1915, 1916, 1918, 1929, 1931, 1934, 1936, 1937, 1976
      Panthers (MBB): 1927/28, 1929/30

        Houston Aeros of the WHA. There's also currently a team of the same name in the AHL.

          Yeah, but it says at the top of the page that it only includes the NHL. And even if they're lumping all of the Texas teams into a single metro area like they did in some other cases, that would only account for the single footbal lmatchup (1962 AFL championship, Houston Oilers vs Dallas Texans) and the 9 basketball matchups (Rockets/Spurs/Mavs). Texas has never had more than 1 NHL team (Stars) and the Rangers and Astros have never met in the postseason.
