    I think B&W can convey what's going on quite well especially if the photo has a good balance of light and shadow. It's true what you guys are saying that B&W does lend a bit of a fantasy type feel to what should be arresting images. There are some subjects where the B&W is a lot more emotionally packed for me and those are the pictures of the POW/death camps that he Nazis ran. I think seeing those in color would take away some of the emotional brutality of it for some reason.
