Word currently is that the airport in downtown KC is being evacuated.

      Be safe, Chaos.

I am, thanks. All north of me at the moment. EDIT: Looks like there was another touchdown north of me. Doesn't seem to last very long, but I think that's the fifth from this storm. And a funnel cloud right near Kauffman and Arrowhead.

Not my picture, but this is what passed right near me.

EDIT: And this is what it looked like about 5 miles south of me. ~40 minutes ago.

Well that was bizarre. These cells are pretty weak, but the ULL is spinning so vigorously, all of these clouds have rotation to them.

No damage here in the industrial part of KC where I work, but looking at Chaos' pictures might have some limbs down and such around my apartment complex.

The real concern is this afternoon again, another high risk area by the SPC.

EDIT: Just saw an official tornado report on the SPC site at 135th and Metcalf in Overland Park. I live about two miles west of there on 135th.

If what's going on up there is any indication for what we'll have here, it'll be a very long afternoon and night.

Now TORs up in Indiana and Illinois as well as MO.

Tornado watch for the entire afternoon here...had a warning with sirens going off about a half hour ago. Last I heard on that was that a tornado passed 6 miles south of Waynesville. Probably no touchdown though.

There's always at least a few days like this each year where it seems like there's almost a constant tornado threat through the whole day.

Any more word on what hit Sedalia?

Several reports of damage to houses, trees and power lines down. Only one injury reported so far.

This is getting old. First the new years eve tornado in Stl, the Carolina outbreak, then the good Friday tornado here in Stl, then the devastation in the deep south, and now Joplin, followed by the last 3 days. Really tired of sirens, warnings, and watches. This year is going to smash the old record of recorded tornadoes that occurred in 04.

You can go to KMOV.com to follow the warnings and coverage in the Stl viewing area

Wall cloud and funnel was reported about 5 miles south of my place but was never confirmed to touch the ground. However, we are still under the gun. The good friday tornado missed us by 2 miles. Enough of this nonsense

This is a picture of what went directly above my street just a minute or two after. Not my picture, this was taken by a friend of mine that lives maybe a mile away from me.

It got a little closer to the ground than that, but never actually touched down from what I hear.
