There are so many double standards in society that it makes me sick..

If a woman cheats, its because her man didn't treat her right and he is totally to blame for her cheating. However, when a man cheats, its because he is a dog, a player, a jerk, etc..

It's ok for women to be insecure, unhappy with the way they look, and complain about their weight and men are expected to deal with their woman being this way, but if a man is insecure then he is considered to be a loser that no woman should want.

If a woman is rude to her man , its ok because she is just naturally "moody" or she is PMS'ing..if a guy is rude to his woman, then he is considered to be a jerk.

If a woman plays games in a relationship, then its because its supposedly "how women are" or they are just testing a guy to see if he is a real man (or some other bs excuse), but then they complain that all men are immature

With women, it's like nothing they ever do is wrong. On another note, I am so sick of dating women that all they do is complain about their weight and when you try to complement them to make them feel attractive, they laugh at you and tell you are crazy or blind. haha I am attracted to big women so i guess this is what i get...

Alot of women complain they can't find a nice guy, but when they do, they dump him because he is "too" nice , then they wonder why they end up with some a'hole that beats them and treats them like crap. Then they are so quick to say there are no good men out there...

there's more double standards in relationships, that i could probably come up with but these are all i can think of right now...Life is so fair and since women have no issues that makes relationships terribly easy....i guess thats why men seem so thrilled when they get married and divorce never happens. *rolls eyes*

You can easily go both ways with this, there are double standards for just about anything. We have our fair share of things we get away with, that women can't as well.

I will agree about the nice guy part though, I've seen that scenario plenty of times.

Like when a guy gets with a bunch of girls, he's a "pimp" and is looked up to as a successful "player," but if a girl gets with a bunch of guys, she's a slut.

I will agree about the nice guy part though, I've seen that scenario plenty of times.

life is a double standard. when it comes to relationships the best way to approach it is to be real and be yourself. Make it known from jump street how you are. it makes life much easier. if she can't deal then she isn't the one.

Woman sleep with a bunch of dudes = slut. Guy sleeps with a bunch of women = pimp, player, baller, mad game, whatever.

Guy becomes successful at an early age = hard worker. Woman becomes successful at a young age = who did she sleep with?

Plus you've got your societal stereotypes... women are expected to cook, clean, be stay-at-home moms, they earn less money on average for the SAME position than men do, etc etc.

Besides, half that stuff you've mentioned, I've heard the woman get blamed just as much as the man does. I mean, how would you like it if every time you got upset or moody, people just said "oh just ignore her, she's just on her period. She can't even be taken seriously right now".

No offense OP, but you're either very young, or have been burned a couple times and now have an angry jaded view, because your post is pretty ridiculous and one-sided.

I am 28 so I am kinda young, but I have burned way too many times. I don't think that anything I said was ridiculous. I know men have stereotypes that work against us to, but I know you have heard many guys talk about how nothing is ever the woman's fault in a relationship. I treated my last gf like a queen and she played a lot of games with me (and she was a lot older than me!) and she would even admit that because she is a woman that nothing was her fault.

I can't tell you how many times I've been told that "too nice" crap. What am I supposed to do, it's who I am. It's like, am I supposed to not be myself? What is "too nice" anyway?

Well, like others have said it goes both ways. That's just the way it is. Life is unfair and we just have to deal with it the best we can.
