**** Security Hacks US Senate Site

I'm really beginning to dislike these guys a lot.

US officials order a security review after the US Senate website was hacked at the weekend by a group identifying itself as Lulz Security.

I don't know if its the same group but we've got hackers all over the place hacking every site in existence. Hell, even Prime Minister Harper's site here in Canada's been hacked with a story that he choked on his breakfast and was being rushed to hospital.

It worries me a bit when hackers whether domestic or foreign are having such success getting to sensitive materials.

Looks like they did a favor. It's always good when people in power get a wake up call.

            Yeah.

These guys are good, that's for sure.

Hopefully it's a wake up call, like ollie said.

Cyber attacks can kill power, water/sewer and cause chaos. Act of war, yeah.

I am really not liking these guys. They think it's for craps and giggles, but they have no idea how many they harm.

                Have they released a statement?

I have a hard time believing this organization is doing it for giggles. Well, OK, maybe they are laughing, but not because it's funny ha ha. I think they are doing it to prove that it can be done and that security needs to improve.

A few days before, Anonymous had taken over the website of the Turkish Telecommunications Authority and shut it down. In other words, if you went to the national telecommunications website that day to find out why your phone wasn’t working, you instead found that the website wasn't working, and you had a tantrum.
