Can a man's chest be too big?

Recently I went to purchase some food at the market and this lady working there was making a whispered comment about me. She told a co-worker "his chest is not cute". She kept looking at it. I was kind of embarrassed. I wanted to tell her that your just jealous that my chest is bigger than yours.

I've been working out hard for a while now and gained like 15 to 20 lbs of muscle. Unfortunately it went to all the places I was not expecting. Most of the mass went to my chest, shoulders and legs with little to none going to my biceps and skinny forearms. Though I spent a lot of time on them.

My problem is my chest is bigger but my stomach real flat (have not done any real ab exercise). So it makes my chest just stick out if I wear any T shirt without a wife beater underneath. One part that I can't control is the nipples, they just pop out uncontrollably. I have read that this might be some condition that you need surgery for, as in the nipple has a tissue causing it to stick out.

I was wondering has anyone else encountered this problem? Is it normal or is it just me. I don't get into the habit of looking at guys chests.

Yeah it can be......like anything else, when you work out, you got to work on all body parts at the same time. If not you will look odd.

You need to do more curls and focus more on your arms for it can catch up to your chest. That way your body will even out.

Methinks you should get into arm wrestling.

My chest was a lot bigger than my arms too.

I think I liked benching too much. It looked weird. I cut back on chest and did a lot of triceps/biceps exercises.

Do not neglect the triceps. They are 2/3 of your upper arm's size. The overall size of the arm is actually what creates more visual impact rather than the size of the bicep.

          Google: lifting and gyno

Your body genetics dictate much of what you become through lifting.

          What's your height/weight?

Personally, I have a large frame but not a large chest. It would be very difficult for me to put mass on my chest. So no, I have not had that issue.

I think the gyno thing is what it is but I am not sure if if is just a bit of fat or something. The thing is I have like almost no fat on my body.

The part that got me upset is there was like a 400 pound hippo in front of me wearing barely anything, buying the whole Stop and Shop but she makes fun of my chest.

I will try harder to work on my arms but I guess I have to buy some new equipment. I did most of my working out threw calisthenics and resistance bands with few weights.
