The most purely evil company in the World: Monsanto.

    Wow.

Saw this after watching both movies "Food, Inc." and "The Future of Food".

Honestly, this company is pure evil. They have patents on just about every seed/crop in the world. They use thugs to go to Farmers and bully and harass them to only use Monsanto seed.

They also take Farmers to court with lawsuits saying they infringe on Monsanto patents. They wait for the Farmers to use up all of their savings on court costs until they are forced to settle with Monsanto and are forced to use only Monsanto seeds.

This company literally controls the majority of World foodstocks/seed.

    Pretty freaking scary stuff.

It is ridiculous. We were talking about this in a class I took this year and it's hard to believe the way they run their business. I think we watched Food, Inc. They come after farmers even when one of their patented seeds ends up in the farmers crop because of something out of their control such as the wind or they fall off a truck or anything.

Yeah, I first heard about them when I watched Food, Inc myself.

Then I just watched "The Future of Food" on Hulu Plus.

Then I googled them and read a whole bunch about them.

I can't believe they are allowed to exist like they do in such a manner as they do.

They remind me of a Cartel/Mafia that rules with an Iron Fist. And they have control over the most powerful product in the world, our food.

On a side note, the stuff about genetically engineered vegetables/fruit is flat out scary too.

Yes, straight evil. I didn't watch the vid, but they have "terminator seeds", meaning you cant take seeds from the plants that are grown and replant them. I plan on buying from an organic seed place when I get a house so I don't have to deal with these SOB's. If something isn't done they will control the food supply to most of the known world.

This is just another reason I feel I have to do some internal investigation of myself and how I lead my family in terms of food purchase and consumption. I don't want to be one of the hypocritical fanatics, but I have to do something because this type of stuff is proof that the love of money is indeed the root of all kinds of evil.

I don't want to support and give to such pure greed. So I have to get more serious about things. The problem is that this stuff is in full force. It's sort of like trying not to buy products made in China.
Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.

On the topic of Monsanto... http://www.naturalnews.com/032826_Mo...ed_supply.html

Monsanto is evil and they have so many ties with the Govt its incredible.

Here is a good one... Monsanto before being named Monsanto was one of the largest pesticide (chemical) companies in the US (still is). They had an CEO (iirc) named Donald Rumsfield, who tried to get aspartame approved by the FDA many, many times and never could, then one day he became Sec. of Defense and walla... Aspartame was approved by the FDA.

            (note: aspartame - http://www.naturalnews.com/030918_as..._bacteria.html)

(here is the story on Rumsfield: http://www.rense.com/general67/rum.htm)

Wow...here's the huffington post's comment on DR and aspartame. I used to drink Diet Coke, but eventually I started getting migraines again. Once I switched to HF corn syrup and sugar products they disappeared. I told my wife the baby gets nothing with aspartame, I wanted to give her a chance. I see so many people letting their kids drink Diet Coke, kids who end up with issues of some sort.

It's kind of funny (not in a good way) how if you go digging around long enough you see those same old names pop up in a lot of interesting places.

Act, you need to get off the HFCS as well, really sugar (refined) in general.

Also I personally think Huff. Post is crap (not necessarily this article but in general)

I agree about the Huff Post. As far as sugar, even no sugar added juices have sugar naturally in them. It's hard to avoid.

This is why it's really important to get your information from more than one source.

The safety of aspartame has been studied extensively since its discovery with research that includes animal studies, clinical and epidemiological research, and post-marketing surveillance, with aspartame being one of the most rigorously tested food ingredients to date. Peer-reviewed comprehensive review articles and independent reviews by governmental regulatory bodies have analyzed the published research on the safety of aspartame and have found aspartame is safe for consumption at current levels. Aspartame has been deemed safe for human consumption by over 100 regulatory agencies in their respective countries, including the UK Food Standards Agency, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and Canada's Health Canada.

Reviews have found no association between aspartame and cancer.
