my question is why would the lifeguard ignore the kid. shouldn't have been a lifeguard by the slide in the first place. I've been to many waterparks and pools and there always a lifeguard in the exit area.

Visibility tests conducted Wednesday revealed a diver couldn't be seen at a depth of 3 1/2 to 4 feet below the surface of the water.
There's no way I'd be swimming in that pool. Dead body or not.

The water is probably murky because of the eroded remains from the woman's lifeless corpse.

Very sad and very strange. There's gotta be more to this story than meets the eye.

She went for the underwater planking record. And lost. Evryone else thought she was really good at it.

                        Yeah that is pretty nasty.

Have to imagine those lifeguards are getting fired if they haven't been already, ignoring something like that is ridiculous. Saying you're on break when someone could be drowning is just awful, I mean don't get me wrong I love my breaks at work to and I work in an emergency room but if a patient goes into cardiac arrest while I'm walking to the break room to heat up my lunch I'm not going to look at their family and say sorry I'm on break. Jumping into the pool for a second to check it out (even if the kid is making it up) isn't going to set you back from break for too long, and they probably could have saved the woman's life, now they have to live with knowing they ignored that kid and while I'm sure she figured he was making it up she and any other lifeguards who knew are responsible for her drowning.

Most lifeguards I know see it as a easy paycheck during the summer and aren't serious about they're job. Or they're too busy trying to find dates.

Exactly. In that job, you have to take everything seriously.

Reminds me of the story of the lady that died on the ER floor with nobody helping her and 2 911 calls got ignored.

I read about this and this is complete shocking. As a Police Officer I have seen a few drownings and I just don't understand how you don't see them in the pool.

I'd think the chances that NOBODY bumps into a dead body in a pool is slim to none at all. The pool can't be THAT big.
