I'm also there (I think). I don't think planking is hilarious (although I have seen some I thought were funny), but I don't think it means the newest generation is lost.

Each generation the world will ever see is going to say the same thing about the one after it... "Damn kids don't know what the hell they're doing, lost sons of bitches", and yet, the world keeps spinning.

When a person post a picture of a plank every 10 mins on FB, that's not funny...The randomness makes it hilarious IMO.

Further proof that this generation is a lost soul and couldn't find it's way back if you gave it a Flashlight and a Map and printed the directions out on Mapquest for them.

I honestly don't see a difference between someone taking a picture of someone laying down in front of things and a picture of people doing bunny ears behind someones head back in the day. It's meant to be a joke and to get a chuckle. If you don't find it funny go your own way and find something that does make you laugh.

I don't go into the wrestling forum and make fun of adults that watch pro wrestling. Obviously that group of people find entertainment in it and more power to them. Me personally, I grew up with it but I've out grown it and found no interest in it but in no means I'm going to in there to make fun of people that still watch it.

This is a fad anyways and it will die down but if you can find entertainment in it then what is the problem?

I think he was just trying to iterate that people do crazier **** now than at any other point in society. I think we can all pretty much agree with that. I don't necessarily think there's any generation to blame.
