Here's the story.

Nigel won an award for one of his documentaries and is scheduled to accept the award on TV later that night. His family cannot come with him, so they plan on going to the nearest TV to watch the awards. Then Nigel starts to talk about how the camera adds ten pounds and that his family might not recognize him when he appears on screen.

He explains his idea in the first clip.
