I've come up with a new rule for the dibs:

I'm thinking that everyone should be entitled to a "Backup Dibs." Kind of like the backup quarterback, the backup dibs is exclusive to a single person, like a regular dibs, but can fill in and take the starting role in case if the initial dibs ends up as a disaster (Lohan, Spears, Cyrus, etc.).

However, the backup dibs can be signed by those who do not have an initial dibs. Those that already have a dibs cannot get your backup dibs.

This adds a whole new dimension to the dibs game, guys. It's nice insurance.

I'll chime in....and just say I disagree for 3 reasons

1) You need to do your "research" and make sure you pick someone stable

2) You've gotta stay "loyal" until you give her up. Having a "backup" kinda defeats the purpose of having a dibs in the first place.

3) If you break up in the real world you have to start all over. Same thing here, IMO. No safety net.

No. That defeats the entire purpose of having dibs. I should revoke yours for even suggesting it.

if possible, I'd like to nullify my "dibs" on Alana Blanchard, and change to someone else.


If she is available, I'd like to call "dibs" on a girl who I've followed for a few years, before she went on The Voice, and now that she's starting to get some national publicity and fame, I'm going to go ahead and scoop her up in here before someone else does.
