    One "last" question.
How difficult is it to actually put this rig together....and with the one SSD and one regular HD how do you change the BIOS(actually, do I have to set up the BIOS to start or is it done by Windows when I install that?)?

    Thanks again.

As long as you take your time and don't force anything you should be fine. When I'm assembling a system I usually install the RAM and CPU and possibly the heatsink outside of the case. Then I install the MB in the case with said hardware already installed on it. Those are usually the parts that are the most tricky. If you get that far without issue the rest should be a breeze.

You will have to check with the manufacturer of whatever MB you go with as to how to adjust your BIOS settings as they vary from board to board.

As far as the SSD, I know I was the one that suggested it, but it has been awhile since I assembled my system and I had to upgrade the firmware on my SSD's so it required a few extra steps and I don't really remember exactly how I did it. You shouldn't have to do that though. Should basically be plug and play as long as your MB BIOS is configured correctly.

If you go with a OCZ brand SSD, check their forum as it has a ton of advice as far as installation and configuration. I would recommend you look there if you run into any snags.

Keep us posted and good luck...I'm sure you'll do fine

Don't forget to ground yourself before you touch the components.

Thanks to both of you again.
I did go with the OCZ 60GB SSD.
Thanks for the suggestion about some assembly outside the case, although I did get the CoolerMaster 932 instead of the 912 which is a full size tower, so it should give me a bit of extra working room.

I've seen a few start to finish videos on assembly and they look helpful.
I'm looking forward to my first real FULL build!

Why liquid cooling? Unless you plan on doing some extreme over clicking it's not needed.

              I didn't go with the liquid cooling...you're right. I didn't overclock anything.

              Now...last question, last question!

Which effing version of Windows 7 do I buy to install on this new PC?
There are like 20 different ones!

Oh...and gaming mouse and keyboard recommendations!

If you like wired mice, the Logitech MX518 is good.

Not sure if this is the same RAM you picked out, both corsair and 8gb though. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...P8GX3M2B1333C9
Pretty cheap. I wish my mobo supported newer stuff. The older ram is more expensive then the updated stuff.

Great thread. I'm looking to build a new one after 5 years since last one. I'll be using the same full tower ATX case(Unless there's a reason I should just get a new one) and just need to get the parts. That is unless I talk myself out of it.
