Photos from a Tuesday morning(and some time after)

    O.S.

With the upcoming anniversary of the September 11th attacks, I thought I'd share with you some pics that a retired member of the F.D.N.Y. took of that day while following the group of guys I was working with from my firehouse and the days immediately following.
I was actually already down there and this guy was with some of the guys I wound up meeting up with later.
I've never shown these pictures to anyone except family members ...and I guess O.S. is really part of my extended family now.

On the bus they commandeered to get to the site...

The next photo should be first...but this is looking up Barclay Street..

Walking up West Street south towards the Trade Center

This was either 4 or 5 World Trade Center ...to the left is where N.Y.C.'s command center was right before it came down(7 World Trade Center). This is later in the day.

    Yes...Fire Department apparatus under there...

    7 WTC coming down...

I have a couple of hundred...but I'll end with this one....

RIP brothers....and all who died there.

Thanks for sharing these Knight. Sometimes it still doesn't seem real, thanks to all those who put their lives on the line on a regular basis and to those that have made the ultimate sacrifice.

Knight, that took a lot of balls to post these. But in a good way. Most people have only seen the usual pictures, but you had the chance to see the tragedy from a different perspective. And you mustered up the ability to share them with us here at OS. I'm sure I speak for everyone that ventures here when I say thank you so much. I'm positive that these shots will illicit a deep emotional response, as they have with me.

Knight, thanks for sharing these brother. Feels like yesterday still. I can not believe it has been 10 years. I get choked up just thinking about it till this day. Still feels fresh, and what has happened in my life the past ten years. Went by so damn fast.

I was just at Firehouse 10 last week while visiting for the Police & Fire games.

                It was surreal

Thanks for sharing these, my man.

These photos tell so much. I really can't stress how much I appreciate you wanting to show them to us. We stop all the time and thank those who are over seas fighting for our freedom, but often forget at times to remember those who gave their life, while trying to save others when these vicious attacks first took place.

Thanks for all you do bro, even if I'm thousands of miles away.

Crazy how fast ten years go by. I was starting 3rd grade in 2001, and now I'm starting college. It still seems like yesterday, though.

They say everyone will always remember where they were and what they were doing when it happened and it's true.

I was in 6th grade, in my English class with my home room teacher and she turned the TV on. I don't remember much from 6th grade, but I'll never forget that day. Now, I'm 21 and making decisions that could/will impact me for the rest of my life. It's amazing how fast time flies sometimes.
