While I a 18 year old kid can not share any stories about my self. I can do so for my old man. Back in his heyday he was a pretty flithy pitcher. Topped the Gun out at 94 and had a sick overhand breaking ball according to all of his former teammates. Tore his Rotator Cuff back in college from over throwing so he missed his shot (His family was dirt poor they couldn't afford surgery) but any way back to the story. About a month ago we headed to a local facility and they had a major league mound with a gun. after about 15 minutes of convincing i got him to warm up and attempt to pitch. May I remind you he's 52 and is not in the best of shape. He looks at the target for about 5 seconds gets into his motion and fires a fastball right over the heart of the plate. the Gun read 73 MPH and he came right off the mound with a grin on his face. He proceeded to tell me while he could no longer feel his arm that he still has "a few miles left in the tank" and we then left the place to celebrate. Even though that it was just one pitch I think it is amazing that even after all these years and a major injury my old man can still heat it up once in a blue moon

I'm a hell of slow pitch softball player, lead off and play shortstop for a pretty damn good industrial league team. Basketball wise...no. I hurt my knee a couple of years ago and took a year and a half off from playing. Haven't been worth a crap since.

Its gotten to the point I don't even like playing anymore because I just can't compete with the guys I normally play with.

I like to think so. I've been QBing a flag football team for 5 years now and I can still sling it about 65 on the fly. Not as fast now, and but I can still move around well enough to play QB/FS.

For me it's my left knee that goes out on me sometimes.

I never got hype. It was cool to beat the dude, I admit. These guys are relentless because all they do is talk massive amounts of trash to us about how good they are, and everyone knows that we can't actually play them... So it's always about the talk, about the glory days, etc...

So to beat one was just "cool." Nothing that I'm going to celebrate too much. Just one of those cool little things that happen in life and nothing more. PIG or not.
I feel you, just wanted to give you a little jab, lol. When I was reading it was just funny thinking of "PIG"... like not even "HORSE", ha ha.

The only thing that would make this story funnier is if you got fired after you played the dude in PIG.
