    Fraudulent Xbox LIVE Charges?

I looked at my online statement the other day to find three unauthorized charges for Xbox LIVE to my debit card. I never even linked my card to my profile and I have never given it to Microsoft. How could this have happened? How could someone have gotten my card number and made purchases on Xbox LIVE without my card being linked?

There was also a charge for Netflix, who I have never dealt with. That charge was refunded immediately without me contacting the bank.

I called Microsoft regarding the Xbox LIVE charges and they say there is no record of any purchases on my profile except for the pre-paid cards I use. I called the bank and they have refunded my money for now while they investigate. The bank will also issue me a new debit card.

From what I have heard, things like this have been happening a lot lately. I don't care too much about the money as it's a small amount. I care more about how someone got my card number when I am very careful about keeping it secure.
