Yeah I wouldn't do it still without a sprinkler system. Taking care of that lawn is a task. Too much grass

Neighbor did their little grass, and didnt take care of it and that trash turned to grass quickly

I'd really love to have the place landscaped and add some palm trees and stuff too. Little at a time.

It's going to suck moving though, I think the high tomorrow is going to be in the negatives.

Now that we have all these kids I would never move ourselves again. So nice to have someone take care of it. Sure it's expensive but totally worth it now.

Whats you guys take on solar panels for power?

Would you take that over your existing power company if you could and it cost you nothing to get materials installation etc??

After moving my fiance here from Denver, I'm never paying for movers again. This mover was affordable compared to some of the quotes and it cost ~$1800 to move a one bedroom apartment and took 2 weeks and didn't involve them doing any of the packing. I'd hate to see how much it would cost to move what is now a 4 bedroom, 3 story house and get it quickly. If a new employer was paying for it, sure! But myself, no way.

Im moving about 25 minutes away and its going to cost me about $150($100 for the Uhaul and $50 to feed the helpers). I also scheduled to pick up furniture and appliances for tomorrow that I could not get free delivery on so thats about $125 im saving.

As a office supply distribution manager I'm really just a well paid mover, moving into a new house is really no different than a tough furniture install. I got 5 people to help but one coworker, my Coworker and I have been doing stuff like this for over 5 years so it should be a breeze.

Must be a lot more expensive out west. Even if this company had hit the original size estimate, it was around $1200 and that is still just one bedroom.

I may "shop" around here just to see if it is cheaper if I were to ever do it, as my move from Delaware wasn't cheap. Wish I had considered movers then but it was on such short notice I just had to start packing and it quicker just take care of myself in that window, especially since it was Labor Day weekend that I moved.

I don't think you can get power without the electric company. It's called net metering. The excess power you generate goes for others' use or credits to your account. You still continue to get an electric bill while having solar panels. It's just lower.

I think solar panels are great. But the solar industry right now is ran by politicians lining there pockets and homeowners are getting screwed.

I'd wait it out until there is some sort of overhaul by the federal government before installing panels.

                            Just my 2 cents.

There's nothing that says you HAVE to be connected to the grid, that's why power companies can cut you off.
