It doesn't work that way. They presented a clear and present threat when they came across the counter. They didn't look like they were from the Board of Health. Once you make yourself known to be a threat, then you have to be dealt with accordingly. By that logic, if a dude on a plane is acting suspicious and making threats, everyone should chill until he shows he has a bomb or some other weapon.
A suspicious man on a plane is a lot different than two women at a Mcdonalds. They attacked him, he knocked them down, and from what I saw they were not getting back up and attacking him again. So now both women are down and not getting back up, which means you put the rod down and call the cops, but he didn't do this. He turned into the attacker and kept beaten them. I don't care what city your in, I don't care if it's at McDonald's, in a street fight, or in a boxing match. I also really don't care what Machiavelli says. When your enemy is down you stop attacking. He didn't stop and now he is in prison.

If I missed the women get back up and attack him then I understand why he continued, but I didn't see that.

Yeah, it seems pretty obvious that his own co-worker was even trying to stop him...and by the end the video, he looked like he was trying to protect one of the customers

I'm all for self-defense, but it looked pretty obvious after the first few strikes that the women could easily be restrained until the cops came.

As far as I'm concerned, the two crazy customers and the crazy employee are all wastes of space.

We'll just have to agree to disagree. I do think where you're from has a lot to do with it. I was raised in NY, I know the way things can go there. You can't sleep on anyone as far as capability of doing harm to you. You've got chicks in gangs who are going around committing murder on the streets. You say when your enemy is down, you stop attacking, while I say when your enemy is unconscious or incapacitated, you stop attacking. I just happen to think my rate of survival might be better than yours.

Let's not forget either that Maciavelli was a guy following and writing about a ruthless tyrant. Is that really the guy who's philosophies you want to follow?

Not trying to defend the guy for hitting the woman while they were down but we can't see what they were doing. For all we know they pulled out a blade or something so he kept hitting them. IMO he just let his anger take over an over did it some, but you know what those two women deserve what they got. People who act like that shouldn't be allowed in public.

Yes. And let me be clear that I don't condone violence against women in any way. That being said, there are situations like this that arise where I don't condone the violence, but I can definitely understand where it came from. Like the case with my wife's brother that I mentioned on here. That is definitely a case where, if I'd heard that he had two-pieced his wife, I'd definitely understand, while not condoning it.

It was funny, but it's ****ed up too. When he caught the butch chick coming around the corner, I died. That **** was funny.

He didn't have to keep on beating em' while they were down though.

I agree with this. We can't tell what was going on but you can see that the guy wasn't just repeatedly hacking away at the women. It was sort of in spurts, so it's very possible she could have come at him from down low or grabbed him or something. Not that I'm condoning what he did but I probably would have lost all of my senses too if a customer slapped me, wtf? And then she jumped the counter, that's just going way too far.

You have no idea how often people just unleash on others and have little to no punishment after they go through the courts.

Well, he was writing about the Medici and then he took over a city (Florence I believe) and the Medici came in, deposed him and then went on to torture him. So, he was a bit more messed up than that.

Seriously - I thought it was going to be one of those "Dude reaches across the counter and slaps someone with a tray" or something...

Nope. Dude beats the living ****ing **** out of some bitches is a better description.

I live by the mantra of "if you don't want to have your skull split open, then don't knowingly put yourself in a position to have your skull split open". Living by that has made my chances of having my skull split open go down by 97.5%.
