I just recently picked up a Chase Freedom card. They had an offer of: Spend $500 in the first three months and get 20,000 bonus points (or $200 cash).

I'm going to try and use the card for all my purchases so I get the points back. You get 1-5% back on all purchases.

No fees whatsoever

I will pay off the card every month and I'm not one to ever spend money I don't have.

Have had it for just over a year, and it is the only credit card i use. Ended up making 170 dollars from it over the course of the year, using it for every transaction. That is a true 170 gain too because i did not change my spending habits at all, and paid the balance in full every month. Seems to be the best card as far as rewards go that I can find.

Just want to add a little more information about Chase Rewards...

With the "points" I acquire I can go through their own store labeled "Ultimate Rewards". Quite honestly most of the items are garbage and there is no real incentive to spend the points there. There is a section where you can but gift cards to places and a few of them are discounted by 10%. I was very happy to see that Amazon.com was a site that has the 10% discount on gift cards.

So here's my situation:

Bought a TV which made me go over the $500 in the first three months. I then get a one time 20,000 point bonus. ($1 = 1 point)

So I will have 20,000 points + the approximate $2,000 in spending I've accumulated. I'm now at 22,000 points. (1 point = $.01)

So right now I'm at $220 cash back for simply putting my purchases on the Chase card. I did buy a TV but that was a planned purchase. I've already paid everything off.

Then I go to the Ultimate Rewards website and I can now get $242 in Amazon gift cards for $220. Hey that's $242 for just spending the money I already planned on spending. Me and the girlfriend use Amazon for many of our purchases.

I just think it's nice to get a little bit of cash back after all my years of swiping the debit card and not getting anything in return.

To update my situation:

Chase put out an even better promo: $300 cash back on $500 in purchases. I called them and asked if I could also get that promotion despite signing up for the $200 cash back.

They added 10,000 points to my account, or $100 in rewards/cash back.

Obviously I'm happy with that type of customer support!

Basically the rewards will pay for my Vita. Not too shabby

Man I just got the Chase Rewards card with the $200 bonus as well!

I e-mailed them to see if I can get the extra $100 credited to my account I just got the card a week ago.

I spoke with somebody over the phone about a week ago. They said they would transfer my question/request to the promotion department, who I did not speak with. The lady said I would get notified within 7-10 days.

Today I get a piece of mail stating they added 10,000 points lol. It's funny how $100 brings me happiness and the company is like "LOL you pheasant, here's $100 in sympathy money"

Yeah lol, they responded to my e-mail and posted the $100 to my account right away.

I would say Chase Freedom. Just pay it off every month and sit back and collect the rewards.
