Another close call

Man..this one was a close call.
It's still not good for these two brothers, but it's better than dead.
Coincidence(and the weather which brings more fires) but it always seems to happen close to the holidays.

These guys were searching ahead of the hose line and the room they were searching(the whole 3rd floor really) lit up on them.
I had this happen to me in 2007 and it's not fun. Luckily I was very close to the door and was able to bail a lot quicker resulting in less serious burns.

Not the best vid(camera phone) ...but not bad either.

In a little bit of irony....these guys are members of Rescue 2. Rescue companies were originally(and technically still!) created to be ready to RESCUE downed firemen.(Obviously "the job" has expanded their duties over the years)

Both are pretty badly burned.
Here's hoping for a quick and good recovery.

(oh...I love how the guy taking the vid says "fire dude" )

Unfortunately it's not looking too good for the younger brother, the one that you see in the video.
He was actually touch and go as far as even making it....but the burns to his hands-arms and face are very bad. Very bad.
I won't say anymore on it....but I'm going to put out as much good energy that I can that his recovery is better than is being expected.

Thanks for the kind words though fellas.....put out some good thoughts for these two.
