It's weird driving 25 minutes to get to work... Used to walk when I was at the pizza shop, took 3 minutes.
I do enjoy the ride home, though. Tunes way up, cruising down a major road. Getting outta work is the best feeling. HaNHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

Oh nothing. We were in the team shop the one inning in which the Mariners scored. I had to have "Philosophical" gaming discussions and then... And then after we went to the restaurant right by my old apartment when we talked about video game coverage as part of the larger media over beer and a burger. Well, Dustin Toms ordered a burger called a "Buttface" , Dave had loaded waffle fries, and I had fried dill pickles. Dave was in his OS t-shirt (they actually look really freaking sweet) - but under it was his GC shirt. Like WTF???????Comment

Re: Off Topic 2012
I've come to realize, I'm not looking forward to summer as much as usual. The only upside is, I will be off every Sunday and rotating Saturdays.
Here's my rant for the day.. I'll spoiler to save some people the trouble, because it's me bitching and moaning, more than anything..
Spoiler
I know a lot of people my age post on FaceBook about being ready for it (summer), but most of them are still in school and their parents paid off their car, pay their insurance, phone, and everything else.
I don't think I'm better than most of them, but I do sort of take satisfaction in the fact that I haven't went without a job, since I turned 16. My parents did buy me a '93 Ford Ranger, but I still paid my insurance and then turned around and traded it for another car and paid a $308/mo car payment, while going to high school.
Looking back, I wish I had just kept the Ranger and saved my money, but I think I proved to my parents that I'm responsible and they never have a problem helping me with something, when I need it. What's even cooler is, when I went to finance my SS Cobalt, I got it financed in my name and my own insurance contract, without any help. I don't know many people, who could do that at the age of 21.
I'm thinking about burning some PTO and cutting out of work, early. I've only been here 2 weeks and I all ready have personal time... awesome.Comment

I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

Random story--our roof got hail damage and we had a contractor come over to discuss repairs. He brought his apprentice with him--Santonio Beard. He was a really cool guy, except for his assessment of John Lynch. Apparently, Beard trucked Lynch in practice and Lynch got pissed and took out his knees, effectively ending his career.Comment

That's an enigmatic response. I thought it was fun to yack about football while getting hosed by a contractor; it definitely made the experience more enjoyable. And he really is a nice guy. Doesn't have the best stuff to say about the NFL's medical care either--I always think it's interesting to talk to retired players about that kind of stuff. Gives you a different perspective on the game.Comment

Man, Talladega and the Crawfish Boil have really killed our weekend business. I've got a few things to do (price changes, new buyers guides, etc.) but I'm purposely spreading it out.Comment
