I'm glad I wasn't driving around in it. Even after it started people at my apartment complex were leaving and driving around town. Nothing like severe weather to get people to come out of their homes.
I went through town today and pretty much nobody had lights until I hit downtown, which I'm pretty sure was using mostly generations. I got work clothes for tomorrow and brought some things to bring back to the parents house. I checked on my fridge. Nothing in the bottom part I'm worried about. I didn't have much milk left, but I'm really hoping my freezer can keep things just a little bit longer. Not that I have too much in there, but a couple pounds of chicken and hamburger I would rather not have to buy again. Not to mention all my left-over steak.
Anyway, went back through town tonight. My brother's house has power (about 10 minutes from me), but my complex is still dark. ****ing sucks. Seems like the Other Chase was one of the few to actually have a decent weekend even if he did get a fiberglass splinter.
