I just finished my junior year and my teacher did not use our US textbook once. It worked because I got a 99 on the NYS regents

Has anybody seen the documentary "Hoop Dreams"? I'm taking a summer course called American Film and we have a list of movies from 1989-present that we need to watch, and this is the only movie on Netflix instant that interests me. If I don't watch this I need to go to a movie store where I could get "Goodfellas". So should I watch Hoop Dreams or Goodfellas?

If you like gangster movies, there is absolutely no reasoning for you NOT to watch Goodfellas.

Hell, even if you don't like gangster movies, watch Goodfellas.

Goodfellas is one of those movies, much like Scarface, where if I'm flipping through channels and it's on.. I'll usually stop and watch it for at least a few minutes. Solid movie.

So this week sucked. Storm last Friday still has my power knocked out. Still haven't went back to the movies to finish seeing Ted since the power got knocked out when I was in the movies. Got a nasty case of poison ivy all the way down my leg from where we were cutting down and moving trees. No power also meant no NCAA download tonight, along with the fact that like 3 people who have been in for a couple weeks have decided to drop out of my dynasty with a couple days till launch. Check us out at Strike The Pose, lol.

The one good thing about this is that it will only make next week that much better.

By the way, I saw where you guys were posting cereal and stuff and picked up a box of Reeses Puffs. They were great.

I never watched Goodfellas. Never got around to watch it or came on and I didnt catch it from beginning(I have to watch a movie from a beginning if I never saw it). But, I will eventually get around to it.

I got Cocoa Pebbles and they were great, but hurt my stomach.

I start summer class on Monday and I havent opened(or touched since I bought it) the book yet. The book came with a online pass that I need and I didnt want to lose it over someone elses house. Hopefully the power comes back on tomorrow. I dont even know what I am gonna where since I havent been home in a while.

Are you sure we don't live out the same road? They were out here for about 2 hours, and left. It was like 7:30 and they are supposed to work till midnight.

I live in Jersey.

I am literally hoping my power comes back on tomorrow since it will feel like 100-106 degrees tomorrow and the place I staying over doesnt have air. I already have to help out my gpop early, so we can beat the extreme heat.

I am doubting that our power comes back on because of the extreme heat tomorrow. I think the workers will stop early again. What makes it worse is that they fixed almost all the power around where I live, but basically put us as last priority.

Anyone ever had problems with streaming ?

My internet hasn't kicked off, I can play Battlefield 3 online and load every other website just fine. However, I can barely stream anything on Netflix or Youtube. It takes forever to load and then only plays for a second before buffering again.

So it was 102 yesterday with humidity. The heat index was like 110 or so.

I'd take dry heat over this sauna I flew back to. Thankfully today was only in the 90s and tomorrow is back to the low 80s and humid.

I need a beer.

I am not much of a drinker these days, but my wife's pregnancy has taken a turn and it's not good news. We dodged a bullet by not having to have our son delivered today at 34 weeks, but it looks like we will have to leave for Seattle on Sunday night so our son can get a blood transfusion.

Not to mention I recently got promoted, and am missing time from work over this. Hopefully they understand, because it looks like I'll be out for a while. If they don't understand, tough sh*t. Family first and my family is my world.

Sorry for blabbing. Most of you are probably like, "WTF are you talking about?"

Off to the gas station to get a few beers because damn it, I need one after today.
