Thanks google for all your help.
I remember when I had my own laundry room

When my dryer stopped working, I tried to research what was wrong and couldn't figure out the problem. Eventually I got frustrated and kicked it, which caused it to immediately start working

I've never been more proud of something I have no reason to be proud of in all my life.

        Re: Off Topic 2012

Recently I received a "Save the Date" postcard from a grade school friend. We didn't really hang out too much in high-school, except maybe freshman year, but we were really good friends in middle school. Outside of him asking me what my new address was so that he could mail me the announcement we haven't really talked or "caught up" since high-school.

I do not want to go on the basis that I wouldn't have invited him if I was getting married AND the damn wedding is on my birthday.

What are your guys' thoughts on this? I will most likely not go, but I don't want to feel guilty either.

I wouldn't go. If you aren't my closes friend, I'm not going. People from high school invite me to stuff all the time. I be looking at the invites and be saying to myself, bitch please, haven't seen you in 15 years. I don't even talk to you, so why would I go.

Respectfully decline. Write him explaining that you can't attend because of the wedding date. If you haven't been friends with someone for over roughly 6 years, there is nothing to feel guilty about.

You're one less person with a plus one he has to feed. Think of it as you doing the young couple a favor.

Maybe I ask why you don't want to attend the wedding? Is it because you two are no longer close or you just don't like wedding? They're a great way of meeting women if your single.

I only ask because I love attending weddings. Food, music, dancing, booze, and everyone is in a good mood.

Every wedding I ever been to.......it was only maybe 2 or 3 single women in the whole joint and none of them were attractive. Which is probably why they were single.

Maybe when I get older I'll learn to hate them, but for now they are awesome. Free food, free booze, everyone has a good time and tons of single ladies (which as I've found out get infinitely harder to find after you graduate college).

Aside from the fact that weddings are widely known as being drab affairs, I would just feel like a complete stranger there. It would be different if maybe we were to catch up before the wedding date, but I don't want to go there and basically see two people I barely know get married. I don't think there's been one wedding that at the end of it I felt it was necessary to attend.

Perhaps I'm being overly selfish, but a wedding on my birthday is not what I picture. Even if all I do is eat ice-cream out of a Breyers container in my underwear while watching Price Is Right its still better than going to a wedding where I will know all of about zero people.

I tolerate weddings for the most part. My sister's wedding was also a quasi family reunion of sorts so it was quite the soiree so to speak.

No one my age, dislike most of my family that has these weddings, can't drink legally, etc. Once I hit 21 and go to more weddings for friends I'll probably be ok with them.
